How do I use Apple Watch with MOMDAY?
Quick answer: MOMDAY has an Apple Watch app, available on iPhone only. Turn it on at Profile > Apple Watch > Track with Apple Watch, and the workout starts on your watch automatically when you start a class on your iPhone.
What it does
Shows your live heart rate and heart rate zone during workouts.
Records your workout. Workouts are saved to Apple Health and appear in the iPhone Fitness app, where they count toward your Activity rings.
Lets you start and end a workout from your wrist and rate it when you finish.
Set up
Pair your Apple Watch with your iPhone using Apple's Watch app. MOMDAY is pushed to your watch; accept the download when prompted (WiFi or cellular required).
In MOMDAY on iPhone, tap Profile > Apple Watch.
Turn on Track with Apple Watch.
Allow Apple Health access when prompted. Apple Health shows Connected.
What MOMDAY reads from Apple Health: date of birth (for heart rate zones), active energy, workouts, and heart rate. MOMDAY writes your completed workouts back to Apple Health. You choose what to allow on the Apple Health permission screen, and you can change it later in iPhone Settings > Apps > Health > Data Access & Devices > MOMDAY.
When you start a class on your iPhone, the workout starts on your watch automatically.
Disconnect: Profile > Apple Watch > Disconnect Apple Watch.
Apple Watch will not connect or show heart rate
Work through these in order. Stop when it works.
Close and reopen both apps. On iPhone, swipe up and swipe MOMDAY away. On the watch, press the side button, swipe the MOMDAY app left, and tap X. Open MOMDAY on iPhone first, then start a workout.
Reconnect in MOMDAY. Tap Profile > Apple Watch. Turn Track with Apple Watch off, then on again.
Check the watch app is installed. On iPhone, open the Watch app > My Watch. MOMDAY should be under Installed on Apple Watch. If it is under Available Apps, tap Install.
Check Health permissions. iPhone Settings > Apps > Health > Data Access & Devices > MOMDAY: turn on every category MOMDAY asks for (iOS 17: Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > MOMDAY).
Check Motion & Fitness. iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness: Fitness Tracking on and MOMDAY on.
Check the connection. Bluetooth and WiFi on for both devices; keep them close together; Airplane Mode off.
Restart your watch, then your iPhone.
Reinstall the watch app only. iPhone Watch app > My Watch > MOMDAY > turn off Show App on Apple Watch, wait 30 seconds, turn it back on.
Last resort: reinstall everything. Delete MOMDAY from the watch, delete MOMDAY from the iPhone, reinstall from the App Store, sign in, accept the watch download, then Profile > Apple Watch > Track with Apple Watch.
💡 Tip: If you reinstall everything, your progress is saved to your account, so it is there when you sign back in. |
